Giant Slide and Highland Stream

Home > Photo Galleries > Giant Slide and Highland Stream

The Giant Slide Trail takes hikers on an exciting walk up the banks, and at times right up the middle of Haddock Brook, which runs down the eastern flank of Sargent Mt. This was the second stream community we examined and represented a rapidly moving highland stream, in contrast to our first stream community, a sluggish lowland stream (link to greatmeadow.html). After sampling the stream, several of us continued up to the peak of Sargent Mountain (link to sargent.html)
